"In prison, you are never alone. Everywhere you go, there are three or four or more people around you. For men who are accustomed to more personal space, this is a hard adjustment. if you are a man who enjoys his own personal time, it will be difficult to share every moment with others. You will have virtually no 'me-time' to laugh or c--y in private. It is a personal space nightmare.
In addition, it is in your best interest to be courteous to your fellow convicts, according to the unwritten code that you all are forced to live by. Don't demean other convicts, or make fun of them, even if they are clearly foolish. Don't throw your weight around, or flaunt your education or financial resources. You are all members of the convicted class, and in that respect, you are all equals. Don't forget that."
This is what Clive said.
